The Technologies for Financial Inclusion Program invites you to participate in its TEC-IN Business Roundtable*, to be held on Wednesday 6th. October, 2010, from 2 pm to 5.30 pm, prior to the launch of the launch of the XIII Inter-American Forum on Microenterprise (FOROMIC) in Montevideo, Uruguay. In this round, the winning ideas will be presented their promoting organizations, thus beginning the second stage of the Program, in which each will develop a business plan, with measurable results. The tentative agenda is the following:

Once the Foromic is initiated, both the Program and the first Call winning organizations will take part as participants in:
 
Technology and Microfinance Panel: looking for the best combination, to be held on Thursday 7th. October, from 4.30 pm to 6 pm, which aims to discuss: How can available technological advances be used to reduce operative costs in microfinances to improve productivity? Who is already doing it? Where? How can we use these technologies to reach remote clients? Who is already doing this successfully? Where? Are the best technologies’ advantages been taken to optimize risk management and internal control? What are the costs and benefits of doing so with new technologies?
 
Technology for Financial Inclusion Panel: testing new business models, to be held on Friday 8th. October, from 10 am to 11.30 am, which aims to discuss: What kind of technologies are being tested to increase the scope and improve efficiency of microfinances in the Latin America and the Caribbean region? What kind of financial services and technology providers are taking part of it? What are we learning from these tests? Which are the trends in technology implementations for microfinances? What are the business models for these actors? How can alliances be developed in order to implement new technologies?
